The airport car park features 650 car parking spaces, solar PV system to support the airport’s energy needs, automated boom gates with number plate recognition and shade sails for the premium parking area.
There are three public parking areas, reserved, general and premium located a short distance from the airport terminal.
The reserved parking area, although not undercover, is a dedicated zone located just steps away from the check-in terminal.
This option is perfect for travellers wanting to streamline their parking experience and secure a parking spot before they arrive.
The flat daily rate for a 24-hour period for a reserved parking space is $25.
There is no hourly rate in this area, and you are required to pay $25 for each 24-hour period. For example, if you park for 24 hours or less you will be required to pay $25; if you park for 48 hours or less (e.g. 36 hours) you will you be required to pay $50. Cancellations or amendments to your booking can be made up to one hour before entry. Bookings can be made last minute, up to 10 minutes before arrival.
The reserved parking area is a dedicated area located to the left of the airport terminal. Once you arrive at the airport precinct follow the yellow reserved parking signage. The boom gates will grant you access once the camera recognises the number plate provided during your booking process. There are no allocated bays within the reserved parking area, users can simply choose any vacant parking space.
The general parking area is conveniently located close to the terminal and offers hourly and daily rates.
Hours | 1 | 1 - 2 | 2 - 4 | 4 - 5 | 5 - 6 | 6 - 8 | daily |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
General Parking Rate | $4 | $6 | $8 | $10 | $12 | $14 | $20 |
The daily rate in the general parking area is $20 for a 24-hour period.
The premium parking area is to the west of the airport terminal providing undercover parking.
The flat daily rate for a 24-hour period in the premium parking area is $30. There is no hourly rate in the premium area, so whether you park for 1 hour or 24 hours, the minimum you will pay is $30.
Customer vehicle number plates are recorded on entry to the carpark at the boom gate. The customer then parks their car.
Customers can pay at one of two pay stations inside the terminal by entering their vehicle number plate, or pay on exit at the boom gate.
Payment at the boom gate is by credit card (credit card fees apply). Payment by cash is only available at the pay station inside the terminal.
When exiting the carpark, the boom gate camera scans the vehicle number plate. If the customer has already paid for their parking, the boom gate will automatically open. If payment is still required, the customer can use their credit card to pay at the boom gate (credit card fees apply).
Customers can pay for their parking by card at the pay stations located in the airport’s arrival areas. If paying by cash, use the pay station located in the arrivals area - enter the vehicle number plate to automatically calculate the payment required.
Assistance is available 24/7 at all boom gates and pay stations by pressing the intercom button. You can also use our Car Parking Hotline on 0400 313 360.
The airport has dedicated areas for passenger pick-ups and drop-offs directly in front of the terminal.
Attended vehicles are able to remain in the pick-up/drop-off area for up to two minutes while unloading passengers. Due to aviation security requirements vehicles must not be left unattended at any time. Any vehicle left unattended will be subject to an immediate fine.
You may collect passengers waiting for you at the front of the terminal building but only if all passengers are kerbside and ready to depart with all their baggage. Parking is not permitted outside the terminal at any time.
