The Byron Bay International Film Festival celebrates its 20th edition from 16 to 25 October 2026 with a vibrant program of red carpet premieres, in-person filmmaker Q&As and special events across Byron Bay and the wider Northern Rivers region.

From opening nights to powerful documentaries and bold new Australian and international features, the festival brings filmmakers and film lovers together in a dynamic celebration of cinema. Visiting directors, writers and producers present their work and engage directly with audiences.
